Summer is fast approaching and it means its SUMMER TIME already! Hello to my favorite season of the year. Of course, when it is summer time you wouldn’t miss the opportunity to escape from the busy and stressful life in Manila. The nearest place to go to when you are looking for beach resorts is in Batangas. There are a lot of beautiful beach resorts you can find in Nasugbu, Batangas. A 3-hour trip from Manila, you can now enjoy and de-stress while sitting at the sea-shore while enjoying the beautiful view you can see in the resort.

Thalassophile
Thalassophile – someone who loves seas, oceans, beach. I would consider myself as thalassophile because I am so excited whenever we are going to the beach.
Last April 2018, my mom and I together with her high school classmates, we went to Munting Buhangin Beach Camp Resort. It is located in Nasugbu, Batangas 3 hours away from Manila. It is our third time already in this resort. Every time we wanted to go to the beach, this is the place we always go to. Their pristine waters and white sand beach will tempt you to stay in the water all day if you want to despite the heat of the sun.
They allow their guests to bring their own tent or they can avail of one. You can rent a cottage wherein you can put your things and stuffs while you are swimming at the beach. They also have nipa huts with air-condition if you want to rest for a while, they also have rooms for rent if you are planning to stay overnight at the resort. You can also bring your own foods or “baon” inside the resort for a picnic on the grounds or you can order at their restaurant which offers delicious Filipino foods.

You can bring your own volleyball or you can rent from them for only Php. 100 pesos per hour.
They also have volleyball nets near the shore and the cottages where you and your family or your friends could play beach volleyball.
I also observed a lot of companies having their company outing and team buildings at the resort. They enjoy playing different beach games near the sea.
You can also enjoy different water activities such as banana boats, jet ski, island hopping, kayaking.
Of course, you wouldn’t miss the chance to have fun under the sand. Their clear water and white beach sand would really tempt you to stay under the sun while enjoying the beach.
But these are some of the negative sides I observed in the resort.
- They do not allow their guests to bring their pets inside the resort. As soon as you enter their gate, there is a tarp saying “No Pets Allowed”.
- It is not for old people or diasabled people. Before you could reach the beach, you need to walk down a half kilometer long flight of stairs. I know it would be hard for you to get down but when you go upstairs, I’m pretty sure that you would have a hard time breathing just like what I’ve experienced (by the way I’m anemic and I get tired so easily.)
- If you are looking for a nightlife at the beach, this is not the perfect place for you to go to. They don’t have night parties by the beach unlike in Boracay there are lots of bars where people can party and enjoy drinking beers.
But despite those negative sides I’ve observed, I would still recommend this resort aside from having a clear water and a white sand, they also have a good price rate to offer to their customers.
Their entrance fee is at Php. 300.00 per head if day tour and Php. 380.00 if overnight.
